One of the biggest brands for holiday and leisure in the UK, TUI Retail are a long-term client of John Worth Group, trusting us time and again with their shopfitting requirements.
It’s a testament of the relationship between the two companies that TUI UK often refer to John Worth Group as not just a partner but an extension of their company.
Our history together stretches back more than two decades, initially covering a traditional shopfitting service, including design, project management, MEP and joinery.
This changed in 2016 when TUI’s property team altered its approach to existing supply chains to a process of procurement and tender bids. John Worth Group was approved as one of a selection of providers but within a year, were given an exclusive deal as the sole approved turnkey supplier, with our framework extended by a further two years.
This procurement process was renewed in 2022 and saw us again successfully win an exclusive contract based on a new five-year framework and in 2024, we delivered 67 TUI stores nationwide – a significant number of projects but achieved with exacting standards of design brief, execution, deadlines and cost control.
In particular, we enabled TUI to rethink their current store formats through value engineering and a practical approach to redesigning joinery items, ensuring cost and time-effective switch-outs in the event of damage, rather than a complete refit.
In a further innovation, we have introduced 3D-printed light fittings, reinforcing a joint focus on sustainability with the added bonus of reducing the price of a track unit by 50%.
