Established almost a century ago and situated in 200 acres of rolling Somerset countryside, Farrington Park offers stunning views in a tranquil location to keen golfers.
The club was acquired by 360 Maple in 2023 who are determined to provide a future for the club as storied as its past. They appointed golf architect Tom Mackenzie – whose work includes St Andrew’s and Turnberry in Scotland, and Royal St George’s and Sunningdale in England – to revitalise the clubhouse and course.
At John Worth Group, we were delighted to be approached to provide the joinery function for this project. Not only was this an exciting sporting development with which to be involved but allowed us to fulfil a key growth target of diversifying into hospitality
We were given a brief to achieve a vibrant and luxury feel to a carefully controlled budget. This prompted extensive research and development for material choice, selecting products to give the right look and feel but ensuring competitive pricing and durability.
Our ideas were delivered as 3D models to make the sign off process fast and easy for the client, and were given the green light to go ahead. Timeframes for the project were challenging with an evolving scope of works but our team thrived in delivering a fantastic design and installation service
Feedback received from the Farrington Park Golf Club design team and staff regarding John Worth Group has been pleasingly positive and we hope this is the first step in an ongoing journey with 360 Maple.
